Dialogue-1

Kitegrl: Okay, I'm here? Hello?

Drell7: So am I. Did you expect me not to show for our private chat?

Kitegrl: Just wondering where you were. What do we do now?

Drell7: I had trouble signing in. Well, :-) we talk. This is about you.

Kitegrl: About me? I don't know what to say. I've only been using a computer for
about 3 months. Just got one and the beginning of the year.

Drell7: See, not too hard. I'll help you get started: What is your favorite color?

Kitegrl: Blue, light blue. What's your favorite color?

Drell7: I love red.

Kitegrl: Talking to a total stranger has got me excited...bet its not the same for you?

Drell7: What? We arn't total strangers you like blue and you just got a computer..we know things about one another.

She paused for a moment. In her mind she pondered. Should I do this? Should I reply back? Her hands hovered over the keyboard. Decide. What had she done so far? Talked to a nice man on line and that was all. Of course she knew why she'd come to the site. Trying to lie to yourself was hard when you knew the you of you so well. Still trying to make up her mind a message came in...
Drell7: Question: Why did you pick Kitegrl?

Immediately Anita found herself typing the words. Like an automatic response she told him. It was a little fantasy, a bit of a dream. Away she went. What was the harm?

Kitegrl: Well, I want to be free like a beautiful kite flying on the wind...teathered only by the one I love to the Earth. Relly didn't want to use girl, havn't been one of those in years, but Kitelady sounded somehow too much like baglady. LOL! Hope that makes sense?

Drell7: It does...thank you for sharing that with me. So do you want to do more than talk?

Kitegrl: I don't know...can we meet again? Same time as now and talk some more. Gotta go.

Drell7: Wait.

Three hours later: Debra Sentre was a married woman. Almost forty and she had two young teenage boys at home. Her husband was a hard worker and a good family man but for years the sex had been bland. Of course like her husband she was plain. Shoulder length brown hair, a few wrinkles around the eyes. Cool green eyes and a little skinny for her height. She put on her coat and headed out the door to the motel across town. Her plans were to meet a man she'd never seen. However they'd talked for the last seven months over cyberspace.

At first it was just talking...but then Deb, he gave her a nickname, they started having erotic conversations. It had been so exciting. Over the next few months though she wanted more. It was she that said they should meet. At first he resisted. But tonight would be the night.
Her phone rang. The ringtone was jailhouse rock. "Hello." She knew who it was.
"Hey, honey let me know when you get to your sisters. Tell her I hope she feels better."
"I will. Pulling in right now actually...everything should be fine."
The concerned voice on the other end sounded unsure of something. But what? Did he trust her? She had lied about her sister getting ill and needing someone to stay with little Kile tonight. Maybe he was just worried about her being out in the middle of the night?

Either way the phone conversation ended with ordinary goodbyes and I love you's. That was the last time Debra ever spoke to Franklin. Twenty five minutes later she lay dead in a motel room...her phone the only sound in the room. It was jailhouse rock again...
To be continued...
